I know there isn't a lot to say that hasn't already been said. This breakup has been hard for both of us and I know there's a lot of pain to go around. As we go our separate ways, there might even be blame. I don't want that, but the end of a relationship can bring a lot of grief and so I'd like to say something now, in writing.
Thank you. For loving me, for being my partner, for sharing the last two years of my life with me, and for being my confidante. You have always been a sweet, caring, and compassionate boyfriend. I know we don't necessarily want the same things out of life, but I have always valued your honesty, your tenderness, and your skills as a chef. I have cherished our time together, and I thank you for being so gentle with my heart.
